Designed and orchestrated by Hydrom, the third auction offers innovative and flexible opportunities for qualified developers to invest in Oman’s fast-growing hydrogen ecosystem and participate in building a competitive and scalable global green hydrogen economy.

December 4, Muscat, Oman: As part of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s state visit to Belgium, the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Belgium signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to further strengthen their collaboration in green hydrogen. The MOU, signed between Hydrogen Oman (Hydrom) and the Belgian Hydrogen Council (BHC), sets the stage for enhanced cooperation across the hydrogen value chain, reflecting the shared commitment of both nations to advance the global hydrogen economy.
Muscat, 16 September 2024: Hydrom, in collaboration with the Oman Vision 2040 unit and the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, successfully concluded the two-week Ecosystem Readiness Lab, outlining a total of 26 initiatives designed to deliver Oman’s 2030 green hydrogen production targets. The multi-sector initiatives, covering five key focus areas—Permits, Contractors, Workforce Development, Logistics, and Local Content—are set to be submitted for approval following final review from the overseeing steering committee in few weeks.
Muscat, 2 September 2024: Hydrom, in cooperation with Oman Vision 2040 unit and the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, kicked-off a two-week Ecosystem Readiness Lab designed to advance national plans towards the 2030 green hydrogen production targets. The multi-sector lab will assess the preparedness of the country’s infrastructure within five critical streams, developing a synergistic roadmap to achieve Oman’s prosperous green hydrogen future.

Rotterdam, 13 May 2024 – The Sultanate of Oman is marking its participation in the World Hydrogen Summit 2024 in Rotterdam, Netherlands from 13-15 May, by showcasing its bold vision to become one of the largest exporters of low carbon hydrogen by 2030.
Muscat: Hydrom, the Sultanate’s green hydrogen orchestrator, announced signing two new green hydrogen projects in Dhofar worth US$ 11 billion. The signings follow the successful completion of Hydrom’s second round of auctions bringing the total hydrogen production in Oman to 1.38 million tonnes per year (mtpa) by 2030.
